Expectations for 2023 Season

What are your expectations for 2023?

  • 6+ wins. Bucket. Bowl. Bowl Win? Time for CTA to turn it around.

  • 5 and Bucket. Have to beat Darrelle Hazzel 2 in year 1.

  • No Bowl. No Bucket. 3 years in a row. Low expectations

After 7 years, that should be expected. Good news is there is a clear path to 6. I'd love to get to the point where we can count 6 wins preseason and then ask "Can we get 8, 9 or 10?" because a bowl is a given.

Maybe someday.
In the changing world of college football it was a tough transition for some teams. As critical as we are about the last two seasons and thinking seven years should be enough time; Fitzgerald at NW has had 17 years some with great success and yet in the past two years have struggled to win two games. NW has struggled since losing a long time DC and several other coaches lately. Unless you are a blue blood in football it isn't easy to weather changes and we have even seen OSU and MIchigan go through coaches with tough stretches for them. Florida State has struggled in the past several years just now starting to turn it around. Miami has dropped way down for them despite being in the hot bed of football. Nebraska is the best example in the B1G since firing a nine win coach by now having a nonwinning record over the past four or five years, we will find out this season if they can get back to winning as national aspirations seem a long way off.

Like IUCX9 said, maybe some day IU will get to count on 6 wins with some year 8, 9, or 10 wins as possible because a bowl game is a given.

Only a successful coach could state so astutely the facts. 👍
