IU struck for two runs in the 3rd on a SF and also an unearned run on an error on a pickoff attempt by CC. CC has already gone to their bullpen.

CC stranded two runners in the 3rd. Sommer's pitch count right now is in the mid-50s.

Dad-gone strike outs again. 8 thru 4. Love the 2-0 lead and the aggressive baserunning to get the 2nd run though.

Shoddy defense bites us again. Inexcusable on routine plays.

A really ugly inning for Sommer as CC strikes for 3 runs in the 4th. Sommer had a couple of walks, a throwing error, and hit a batter. That, combined with a throwing error by Walker at 2B, led to the runs. Krueger replaced Sommer with the bases loaded and 2 outs, to retire the final out. Two more errors to go along with the five from yesterday in one game.

IU had two runners (both walks) stranded in the 5th. IU has just one hit so far in this game.

Who is the hitting coach? These guys are such easy outs.

IU blew a big scoring chance in the 6th when both Lloyd and Fineman singled to start the inning. Barr moved them to 2nd and 3rd on a GO. But, with one out, both Crail and Walker struck out to end the inning.

Ks and errors. The difference between a good baseball team and a mediocre team.

In the 7th, IU finally got some offense going as Houston, Gorski and Ashley opened the inning with singles to tie the game. After a Kaletha SO, Lloyd singled to score Gorski, giving IU the lead. Fineman grounded into a DP to end the inning.

IU dodged a bullet in the 7th. Saalfrank replaced Krueger and got a GO to start the inning, but then gave up a triple. He came up big after that, getting a SO and a GO to end the inning.

How in the heck was that Lloyd shot only a single? Should've scored 3 that inning. If we are going to swing recklessly at the plate, we ought to run the bases recklessly too. Makes no sense to be conservative knowing a strike out or 2 is looming.

Not a good start for Manous as he hits the first batter.

Great. He just walked a batter on four pitches to load the bases. I thought sure they were going to replace him when he got that second runner on.

Sloan is in to pitch. Hopefully, it's not one batter too late.
