9th Inning:

T9th: Yoko came in to close it out. Yoho gave up a leadoff single and then K'd the next three batters to end the game.

IU used 9 pitchers and had 16 Ks, with Bothwell getting the win for his work in just the 1st inning. IU had nine XBHs to include 7 doubles and 2 triples. Mathison got a hit late in the last Texas game and went 3 for 3 in this game on two doubles and a triple, so it looks like he's got his swing back. Glasser, Whalen, Pyne, and Tibbitts all had multi-hits with Tibbitts having 3 RBIs. IU had 8 stolen bases with Cerny getting three of them and Glasser with two SBs. Four Hoosiers were hit by pitches while we returned the favor by hitting two batters. Both runs given up by Katskee and Risedorph were earned. We gave up 3 BBs and had 2 WPs, but given the number of pitchers we used, the negative side of pitching was quite low, and pretty low for any game. We played 13 position players plus the nine pitchers and had no errors which is a big plus.
