Arizona State has a very aggressive athletic director. They are renovating the football stadium; hired a new basketball coach (Mr Hurley); took Tracy Smith from IU (as any wise baseball person would choose to go); and now have hired Bob Bowman as the new swim coach. Five years ago the former AD tried to shut down the swimming program, which was short-sighted: swimming and the outdoors and Arizona go together.
