this has nothing to do with Ziz except that he ripped this site last week when I posted from them.

Butt, I hate John McCain. How did this dumas get as much power as she has?

Why would Palin's endorsement of Trump over Cruz count for anything is beyond me?

It might seem WC, butt really I just want to blast Palin, the US political system, and all the dummies out there.

Has there ever been a worse field for a party's nomination then this one. The GOP might have gerrymandered there way into congress, but this GOP field has no chance at the White House. They make Mitt Romney look like a great choice. I would take Romney over any of these clowns.

This GOP field is far more of a threat to the US then ISIS will ever be and that not hyperbole.

I dislike Clinton as well, just to be clear.

All I can say about the GOP field is that the most reasonable person on that stage is the man whom just a few years ago I was denouncing as a radical right nutjob when I lived in his state. The party has shifted dramatically from center-right to crazy-right in a very short time.

Not including at least one picture of a hot ass with this post is a serious, serious violation.

Here you go, Czech Czicks.........

I'm either voting 3rd party or not voting. It's so freaking stupid this cycle.

Yeah, it's hard to find a candidate in this field period. HC is just so unlikable. O'Malley seems competent, but is boring and also just seems like a dik. Sanders is well, Bernie. At least he's likable and passionate. Probably the best candidate of the bunch to me sans platforms. And as a lifelong fiscal conservative (haven't called myself a Republican in years because the party's been so overrun by zealots), I think any of them are better candidates than the Republicans have put forward.

To me the only hope for the Republican party is to divorce itself from social issues/platform and focus solely on the economy and fiscal policy. Everyone is invited to support the economic policies and say that social standards are for local jurisdictions and communities to decide. Never happen, but I don't think that party stands a chance nationally until it follows something along those lines.

You've nailed me. I'm a conservative that needs a party. Our generation is socially liberal. Deal with it or never elect another president...ever.

Watching Reince Priebus run the RNC, is like watching Tom Crean run a basketball program. For fu*ks sake, all they have to do is nominate Rubio, along with a respected grown up for Veep, and they'd have a real shot this cycle. I admit, I enjoy the entertainment the Republican field provides, and understand a lot of the anti-establishment ferver stems from both parties rejecting the notion of a Jeb vs. Hillary election. On one hand, I would like to see a Trump vs Bernie election for its raw honesty, but that would actually scare the shit out of me in reality. I think a Rubio vs O'Malley face off would be a very interesting campaign, in the classical sense.

FWIW, if you Google "Czech girls" you can get a HELLUVA lot more interesting things than what Ziz posted.

I didn't realize you disliked Victoria Secrets models.

You wouldn't believe what I see everyday on my commute to work. I love public transportation.

What's scary is that you think Rubio isn't batshit crazy. that's what US politics has come to. I would vote for C-$ and he's proven to be incompetent on every level.

Oh, I don't dislike them at all. But there's a whole selection of Czech girls on the internet that absolutely don't belong on the AOTF, despite the fact that many on here would greatly appreciate their talents. Just wanted to let people know they are out there.

What's even scarier, is that I actually do think Rubio is batshit crazy, but not near as crazy as the others! I'm just trying to find a scenario where the DNC would throw Hillary to the wolves and nominate my boy O'Malley.

I actually a hoping for a Trump-Palin ticket. If we're going to crash and burn, at least we can get some good comedy out of it.

The sad thing is, at best, we are stuck with more of the same or worse.

Unless you #FeelTheBern. Then the righties get proven right (unlikely, look at their field) or we take a chance on something other then the shit we have.

Rubio is probably the second most sane guy up there, behind Kasich, who is also batshit crazy. A Rubio-Kasich ticket would have a chance, and if the GOP were smart, that's who they would nominate. They could beat Hillary or Bernie (I'm just assuming O'Malley's done). But if it's Trump or Cruz, they are going to flop in the general election, and rightfully so, and the GOP is going to have some serious self-reflection to engage in.
This might be the closest we've ever been in my lifetime to genuine political realignment and the emergence of a third party. The Tea Party may become the home of the right-wingers, while the GOP moves to the center and tries to capture old Blue Dog Democrats, leaving the Dems as the true progressive party.

I've been saying the same thing for months. If the GOP isn't dumb, they'll nominate Kasich or Rubio. If they are dumb, they'll nominate anyone else.

Personally, I think Kasich would be a far better choice than Rubio for a general election, but either one of them would at least have a chance against both Hillary and Bernie. Nominate literally anyone else, and you are giving the Dems the White House in a forfeit.

Based on my amateur investigation, roughly 20% of the female population of Prague has at one point or another accepted a handful of Monopoly money to walk around the other side of a wall and blow a cameraman. Gotta like a city like that.

lol, you watch too much porn. It's more like 15

Politics can be all about good timing and perception. Rubio's "bottle of water" incident on camera, made him come across as a kid that was in over his head. He has since been successful at being seen as a serious man, but, had he only slugged from a bottle of Titos vodka instead, he'd be on his way to the White House.:)

More like 99% would be accurate, based on conversations with crew members and staff of a cruise ship traveling the Danube a couple years ago.

Social issues are the last factor I look at. They shouldn't play a factor in our political decisions. Abortion is distasteful, but it is the law and not going to change. Gay marriage has been decided, so move on. Unless a social issue comes up that threatens our economy or national security, social issues are low on my radar.

If you like Obama, vote for Hillary. If you don't think Obama has hurt the country enough, vote for Bernie. I haven't picked a favorite from the rest of the field. I still don't know much about O'Malley. I think he is just hanging around on the slim chance Hillary gets caught up in her email issue or another scandal.

If you would consider voting for an R, you're making my case, not dissenting. I believe there are many people who would vote on a purely economic platform for conservative policy, but the R's insistence on making so many social/religious based platform issues keeps them away. There are many fiscally conservative gays and minorities who would never vote for a R with the social platform s currently, so if they hope to get elected on a national platform, short of Dems imploding, I think they'd be wise to focus on fiscal policy, call themselves fiscal conservatives, invite everyone to the party and keep social issues off the national platform.

Kasich would be a solid choice in lieu of not liking The Roots:

That speech by Palin last night was one of the crazier ones she's given.

"Right winging, bitter clingin'..." what a rambling mess/circle jerk session. Sad that this is what Republican politics has come to, but it's their own fault.

For all its F ups, our government is actually quite the modern miracle.

Imperfect, sure, but it works. There's checks and balances. There's right and left.

I was talking to my uncle (Republican die hard who hates Dems) last night and he was saying how he wants to see "the whole thing started from scratch" as in getting rid of all legislators in DC and filling it with novices...as if this is EVER a good idea in ANYTHING?

Talk about throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

See, THAT is the kind of "dumb" I just don't understand. It shows such an unhealthy lack of appreciation for time, for starters. For the age of our Republic, too. And for the work it's taken over 200+ years to create the best form of governance we can given our own shortcomings as humans.

I'm sorry...sounds snobby I know....but Trump supporters who think such ways are lame brains and have no business being in charge of anything.

I would hope that people view our national security, economy, and other factors instead of a position on abortion or gay marriage driving decisions.

Abortion and gay marriage has been decided. We aren't going back. The important issues and how successful we are as a country aren't driven by these issues. They are used as a wedge to put as many people as possible against the GOP. The GOP isn't going to reverse Roe vs. Wade or try to overturn the gay marriage decision. The courts handled the decision and nobody is going to touch these sensitive issues. It's over. Done.

I wish people would vote on the issues that confront us and not fight the battles that were already settled. There are things I don't like about people that work on my car, or build my house. Those things don't matter if you are hiring them for a job. I am pro-life, but I would vote for a candidate that wasn't.

The idea that the GOP wants to reverse Roe or get rid of gay marriage isn't a Dem slur. GOP candidates are promising just that. It's their own fault.

The fact that the social issues won't likely be reversed isn't the reason that the GOP is riding them so hard - its the local elections that are swayed by those forces, and when you add in gerrymandered districts, then you have what you are currently seeing in the state of Indiana. A statehouse controlled by far right Republicans, who forced the religious freedom law down the pipe because that's what the religious right wanted.

I feel dirty now. I told myself to not post in this thread...

The choice we have for the leader of the free world will be between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. That's seriously scary.

You think Trump would relinquish the White House if he lost?

I'm not so sure he and his band of idiots would concede defeat if, say, he lost to Hillary. I could see him assembling a couple million people in DC and taking things to extreme levels.

That Palin thing last night is funny and all...but ultimately it's a very scary thought that maybe a quarter of the country agrees with her and/or admires her.
