. . . in a national playoff game. That color combination belongs.

There's room at the top of the BiG 10, folks. OSU has had a coaching change and is recruiting pretty well, but 2018's been a shaky year for them . . . UM remains shaky under Harbaugh, and Harbaugh just sounds like the game has passed him by . . . PSU is good, but doesn't seem top tier, no where close to BAMA, Clemson or UGA, or even a wounded OSU . . . and MSU? Good program, but again 2nd tier at best, maybe even 3rd tier.

Just sayin . . . .

If those programs drop down a level or two...does IU need to look at joining Conference USA or similar?

The gap between the top 2 is big and getting bigger. Georgia and Ohio St are going to be good for awhile but both teams continue to lose a game they have no business losing but neither team is on Clemson’s or Bama’s level.

Those 8 teams are the only teams who can/will make the playoffs for the next few years. It will be interesting if OSU lands Justin Fields. If and he’s immediately eligible, they could challenge the top 2 next year.

Franklin has recruited at a high level. Their defense was very young and a lot of studs along the OL and DL. If anyone is going to challenge OSU in the B1G it’s going to be them. After this year, I’m betting that the playoff committee won’t leave out a 1 loss B1G champ, until they lay another egg.

PSU is no better than Wisconsin as a program. They have been pegged around #15 for four or five years, IMO, and are chronically overrated.

You give Saban and company a month to prepare and you have no shot. They are a lot more vulnerable the second game. Bama and Clemson were clearly the top 2. Should be a great game.

Give Kirby a couple of more years. He'll slide into the spot that Saban now occupies as Saban's age catches up to him during recruiting.
