team, at least on paper, for IU to open up with and get back into the flow of things. Baseball America predicts Memphis will finish last in the AAC. They failed to make the AAC tournament last season and finished with a record of 20-36. They return most of their offense, but it wasn't a very effective one last season. One player of note for them is SS Alec Trela who was listed as the 19th best player, from a draft standpoint, in the AAC. We will probably see LHP Hunter Smith in the season opener who finished with a 3.08 ERA last season, and averaged almost one K per inning. Here is one of the previews of the AAC that I ran across:

I thought I would add that we had a tough opener against a ranked Oklahoma team last year, losing by what I believe was a 6-3 score.
