Starting next year? Once again CAM will have the best in-State freshman coming in with All American accolades as well as a solid class plus retrunees. Fans simply can't afford to keep buying into rebuilding anymore. Another NCAA miss would signal zero assurance to keep him.

No your seat is never hot with Fred around in the first five years.

In our little world which are just the pixels on this board he will be on the hot seat. Otherwise no.

Fred understands it is a “process.”
This year is the NIT as a positive step forward from no tourney last year.

After playing in the NIT for 5 or 6 years, it will be time to try and make the NCAA Big Dance where everyone else plays annually.

Fred totally knows that this is a 12-15 year rebuild.

This is actually ahead of expectations for Fred, a normal path would have put IU in the CBI this year, then NIT next year, then winning a game in the NIT the following year, followed by a normal bad year, followed by a NIT final four, followed by winning one game in the big ten tourney, followed by another down year.......

LOL For 3.5 million one would think you could find 8 guys in the state of indiana capable of being among the best 68 teams in the country - especially given the resources he has at his disposal. Too many posters with too little expectations. The bar isn't that high....

No hot seat next year. Lay an egg next year like this one, maybe. Show marginal improvement, grumbling next year. Hot seat after that. Although I'm not so keen on rushing to another coaching search given the last 15-20 years. Hot seat talk......the AD best have have his Nomex undies on.

I don’t want Surfboard anywhere near the next coaching search.

I agree with you and Hatchets. We'll show at least marginal improvement in our record and BT standing. You almost have to TRY to be this bad at Indiana. If no NCAA invite, on the hot seat at the start of 2020-21.

You do realize that last year we were a 6 seed in tournry

Whoa, Trace Jackson isn't a Kentucky Wildcat or Duke miss to
my knowledge. Nor is he the second coming of George McGinnis.

His seat will be warm, but I think next yr you guys will make the tournament and be a totally different team. I think Archie allowed Romeo to much rope, because of the accolades he came in with. I think next yr, with tjd you will see a different team. You guys showed signs of life at the end of the season. I’m not saying all of this years struggles are because of Romeo, but I think he played a part in it, whether he’s your best player or not

If it's the same crap then fans should just stop showing up. Again I hope I'm wrong and that Archie is "the guy" but otherwise ,I don't know what else might force change. Murray Sperber Myles Brand and the gang must be so proud of what they've turned IU basketball into. @ssholes!

Yep same thing these dumbass commie Democrats want to do to America, destroy all that is good

Two years from now they wil either HAVE to make the tournament or have one heck of a class coming in.

Next year will lead to hot seat in two.
The recruiting class does not matter, if he doesn't get to tourney, he should be fired. This team should have made the tourney, if next year is worse, he will be fired.

So, you’re going to bust Romeo’s balls for only being 2nd team all Big Ten, but you give Archie a 3 year pass?

If we miss the tourney, next year, Archie should be fired. I think he should be fired even if he makes the tourney, if he’s a 10ish seed or worse. I’d might make an exception if we had a great recruiting class coming in.

If Fred Glass has any balls then the seat should already be red hot. You keep Miller for another year though. However If either Donovan or Stevens becomes available you go after them hard and can Miller. It's what any actual blue blood program would do.

Another victimbear puppet.

I think IU will be much better next year during the regular season, during the Big 10 tournament and, as a result, IU will go dancing.

I wouldn't be to sure about that. Our 3 returning starters went 4 for19 and scored a combined 11 points, today. I hope your right, but the outlook isn't good.

And least rhe expectations wont be out of whack. Mine will be pretty low.

Archie Miller 19-20 Season..

Miller needs to make the tourney next year and be above 0.500 in the conference to keep his job. Davis lost his job after a third disappointing year and that included a tourney appearance in 03 prior to the 04 and 05 debacles.

This should be the case but IU will give him a fourth season. By that point recruiting will be in the tank and the program will be dead for all intents and purposes. And McRobbie won’t care at all.

Glass would likely give him a 5th year.

And two of our bench players who will more than likely be starters next year we’re 12/18 for 35 points. In place of the two guys leaving who went 8/20 for 21 points.

Guys we count on missed several shots underneath the basket and we lost by 4. Yes, it was an awful game, but the outlook isn’t as bleak as you make it out to be.
