Could somebody please tell me why the NCAA thinks that it is a good idea to host the F4 of scoccer in Philly in December?

Who knows. It's also been played in Columbus, OH and St. Louis. Many years ago it was always somewhere warm like Florida, California, or the Carolinas. Not sure why they changed that.

Have never understood the cold weather sites. Even the Cups played in NC have had miserable weather.

No kiddin’! It should always be in a warm weather location. It’s futbol not football.

Wish the NCAA would have adopted Jerry's proposal of moving the season to spring so the College Cup would be in April/May. Thus it could have been played on campuses instead of a neutral location.

If total attendance was around 5000, IU must have had app. 2500 there........
