Why didnt we call a Time Out????

Now we call a to before the kick? Wtf. Come on allen. That was inexcusable. Critical mistake.
Would have been sweet to have the lead at half when we didnt deserve it. Damn that sequence sucked balls.
Allen not calling a timeout on that first down and then immediately taking it after the spike and icing his own kicker was questionable. Take a timeout on that first down and you have 8 seconds to run a play and throw to endzone and if you don't get it have 2 or 3 seconds for field goal. You get a TD there and you have all the momentum
We should have spiked the ball or taken a timeout. Allen missed that one. There was plenty of time for a fade.
Yeah and with the momentum we had going and Ramsey kind of really being in a zone right then, I think with one more play we might have put the ball into the end zone. That sucked.
I'm guessing the thinking was that we could spike the ball with enough time left to run a play. If we had the TO still in our pocket then they have to defend the run. You have to call the TO there to give yourself one shot at the EZ.. 8 second is plenty of time for a quick pass.
