why did fife leave mich st, money?

Fife was the main recruiter on many of the players that haven’t panned out lately. Loyer was one that played for Fife’s dad in high school.

If Dane wasn't the heir apparent...and it seems to be the case...then the heir will be bringing his own assistants in as well...that might not have been Dane. He knows the the situation at MSU....and how that applies to him. He may well just be leaving on his own terms...which would position him much better for his future. What looks like a lateral move may actually be better than that.

Fife decided it was time to move on since Stephens stole Dane's playbook with all his plays. Only a matter of time before Izzo retires, hires Stephens, and then Stephens fires Dane. Dane smartly decided to skip the "talking into a unplugged phone wearing high heels" phase.

On to the Bourbon Bowl!
