We have heard of total team wins, well this was a total team loss:
1. Special Teams: Forget about the last FG....poor KO coverage, poor punt coverage, bad mistakes on returns...didn't sustain blocks.
2. Offense: Yes, they had their chances to put this game away or make it more difficult on several occasions but each time they came up empty. As the announcers said, Sudfeld has a tendency to lock in and not read his progressions OR take what the defense gives him. Throw in some poor play calling that had my head scratching, throw in not using Redding even more (can you say Henry and Alabama?) and you get my point. Cobbs drops were critical.
3. Defense: I do not think there is a guy on that staff that should sleep well....I am so sick and tired of not having a defense that can slow people down...poor angles, poor tackling, not sure what pass coverage we have....the basic fundamentals are not even being made....once again, historically since Mallory we have not had a strong or even competitive defense...wow would that make a change .
Overall: We need more speed....Duke made us look slow....not sure what to think but there has to be some changes on this staff.
