Who in the hell wants to go to Minneapolis in mid-March

Indy does not support this tourney like we would if we ever won a %$^% ng game in the B1G Tourney. Attendance has sucked, and the B1G brass evidently thinks (in error), that IU will continue to struggle to win a E%#$#$ game in this tourney. Had Indpls just gone to the games , it would still be here.

Have you been downtown in Minneapolis lately?

Yep, live and work in Minneapolis. Crime isn't really much different than most other big cities, places like Indianapolis and Cincinnati are worse. And like most big cities, out of towners don't really go anywhere near the rough spots, which are frequently far out of downtown and sometimes even in some of the suburbs. Even at the height of the riots, I was still going downtown for work (not everyday, but that was COVID related) and never felt unsafe.

Relax.
Indy didnt even bid to host during the next two years because of other events occuring in the city.

Interesting, our employees from outside Minneapolis won’t go near there

I know a lot of people like that, although it’s mostly people that haven’t been downtown Minneapolis or any other major city in years and in some cases decades. One is even uncomfortable taking the interstate through downtown even when traffic is light and other routes might add 20+ minutes

Suspect money involved.
Bigger risk of weather delaying planes or autos.
Farther travel for most teams.
Worse climate going from cab/Uber to inside stadium.
You will have to keep parka, gloves, stocking hat in your lap during game.
Suspect money involved.
Warren was the former COO of the Vikings. Minneapolis has a friendly ear at the top.

Some people are just paranoid.

Downtown Minneapolis is a great place to visit and does well hosting events. Direct flights from everywhere and getting around is easy. B10 tournament is always better in Indy but I don't think it's crazy to rotate to other sites.
Where would Cleveland fit into this?

I don't think any part of this post is accurate.

Because Indy and Chicago are such shangri-la's in Mid March? At some point the cold is a bit irrelevant because if you're outside, all you want to do is get inside... think of it as a vagina and maybe that will help!
depends if you like it damp or frozen
