Which IU Player Will Announce They are Putting their name in Portal today!

It's going to get interesting!
I think we could hear a few names today but I suspect we will hear Stewart it not returning today. I also think we will hear LD is leaving but that is just my prediction. People forget LD was an Archie guy so would not be shocked to see him go play for his boy Archie.

That is a good thing. Did not want to go into next year with him being one of our main options up front. Makes me think we will upgrade of Race or TJD could stay.
Hard to read into it. At first glance it could mean that he doesn’t see much opportunity (we aren’t losing TJD or Race), but he could also just be keeping his options open.

Yikes! It could get uglier than you thought she ever could.
Weren't Lander and Durr the most logical portal departures, then maybe Duncomb,

with TJD being 99% NBA departure, then Stewart and Race being 90% "to the real world" departures?

Does a sunrise surprise you?

Last things first...Only when it's sudden and any time but dawn.

TJD was the most likely to leave for the NBA.
Lander and Stewart were the most likely to enter the portal.
Race then Johnson to follow.
Kopp, most likely to retire from the game (as he once knew of it), then Phinisee
Durr and Duncomb (our "Double D Force") were likely to stay because of TJD leaving. It didn't happen (R.I.? NIL?)
Most likely to stay, "Geronimo!" and Woodson.

I don't think we can hide the ramifications of a first year IU alumnus coach firing his first year alumnus assistant coach who many thought was being groomed for the head coaching job by the coach who fired him.

Isn't life strange...a turn of the page in a book with no name.
Yes, Virginia, it certainly is, the zany world of being an IU fan with never a dull moment...well, we did have the Archie years. Now we have the one Woody year.

Except that it was a first year IU alumnus coach firing a first year alumnus assistant coach...

who was forced upon him and perhaps even was undermining him, since so many thought he was being groomed for the head coaching job, not by the coach who fired him, but by an administration trying to pull puppet strings.

I don't think it's that complex. Absent a complete attitude/toughness adjustment, Michael Durr can't earn any significant minutes in the Big Ten.

I like it, but I'm not sure why.

What does this mean?
Don't worry, it won't be on the test.

Durr just did (fly the coop)

I had just found out Durr is done. What gets ugly ("she" gets ugly, as she always seems to do) is the ugliness of the offseason, one fraught with uncertainly before Michael Durr's announcement even had time to surprise us. Gloria Frangipana was a whore! I knew her when she was still in high school. E're to her be true, the pride that once was Indiana.

I listened to all the FS albums and the long quote was from-Waiting for the Electrician...

A lot of humor included on that album concerning Native Americans.
I was not aware of that particular album, their first, thus did not pick up on the Firesign Theater reference. I listened to their third and fourth albums while at IU ('69-'73) being only familiar with Don't Touch That Dwarf, Hand Me The Pliers and I Think We're All Bozo's On This Bus. We enjoyed much late night laughter in the insanity. Maybe it's time I revisited the boys. Actually, I remember seeing they were giving a show (Bloomington?) just last year or so and I was very tempted to see them for the sake of nostalgia, but didn't. I blamed it on Covid, like everything else at the time. Sister Mary Elephant is a nun I'll never forget. "Now class..."SHUT UP!...thank you."

I just realized why you write in the style you do. I think your last name is Tirebiter.

He’s got one foot inside “FURTHER”, one foot inside a Shaman’s cave, and his hands on the keys of an old typewriter writing his next novel.

remember

“Woody Guthrie sang about
B-E-E-T-S, not B-E-A-T-S” (X).
