With Langford out for the third NIT game, pick one.

1) He's hurt badly enough playing would be a bad idea or he wouldn't be effective if he did play.

2) He has a minor or manageable injury, but with the draft looming and him not being part of the plan next year they made a mutual decision he wouldn't play.

3) He said he's done and the injury is just cover.

Probably between a 1 and 2. Its not fake because it flared up in Ohio St. He also has had previous issues during his junior season. I expect him to declare for the draft, probably go in the 10-15 range and thats fine.

Didn't really matter, he wasn't going to make any difference.

Langford was a major disappointment. Talented for sure, but really didn't make players better and never able to take over a game like great players over the years. Weak draft this year and will go first round but I really doubt he will be a significant player in the NBA unless he really changes his mindset.

Romeo was selfish, only worried about his draft status. He could care less about IU or he would’ve played.

Why would he care about how IU does in the NIT? We let him down. He made a terrible mistake coming to IU. We should all feel bad for the kid.

We won out in the end with the Adidas/proximity battle and really let the kid down. He should be thriving and playing in the real tournament right now.

Aren't you guys in the S16? Why do you care?

I thought I read somewhere that it was HIS choice to come to IU. He was supposed to be the leader to make everyone else better not wait for others to make him better.

We let him down? Lol

Sure we just knew that we would have the injuries that we’re having at the time Romeo signed on.

Man are you dense.

Don't care, unless something drastically changes he will be over seas in a year.

#3 - completely choreographed by the Langford camp to save face. He cannot be gone soon enough.

I reserve full judgment until the chips fall. There is no way he didn't have at least some minor back discomfort, as it showed in the OSU game. But watching McRoberts running around in obvious back pain was a pretty strong statement.

McBoB isn’t getting ready for the nba draft either. He’s scrapping on to the last best he has of ball left

I have no idea what Romeo's situation is because like everyone else on this board, I have not spoken to Romeo, the training staff, or anyone on the coaching staff about his condition. Therefore, any answer I would give would be ignorant speculation. So unlike the other Nostradamus' on this board, I won't disparage the kid over something I have no knowledge about.

What I will say is that off the top of my head I can think of four kids who played for me over the years who missed major time with back injuries. One in particular was one of the toughest kids I ever coached and we had to shut him down in January because he just couldn't endure the pain. He was crushed. But he sat on the bench and cheered on his teammates in the remaining games - just like I saw Romeo do the past 3 games

I've been down in the back a couple of different timed in my life. I could barely get up and down on the toilet to take a shit for several days. I can't imagine trying to play basketball with a back injury.
