Saw he's not even listed on the latest depth chart, where they have two other guys listed as backups.
What happened? Injury? Just a demotion based on performance?

Injured versus PSU. Hackenberg alluded to the defensive players being happy to get back at him for showboating/tauntingSaw he's not even listed on the latest depth chart, where they have two other guys listed as backups.

i think it was a shoulder and possible concussion.Saw he's not even listed on the latest depth chart, where they have two other guys listed as backups.

Sorry about the injury but if he is on the depth chart IU has no depthi think it was a shoulder and possible concussion.
My God, give it a rest.Sorry about the injury but if he is on the depth chart IU has no depth
Since he did play in two games this year I don't think a redshirt is automatic. However, given the limited number of snaps he played and the injury situation my guess is that a redshirt will be granted by the NCAA if he doesn't play any more this seasonWould he still be eligible to red shirt?
Sad to see anyone injured, but it's not smart to rub it in when your his size. He kinda asked for it.

But he only played in two gamesIf you play less than 30% of the season and suffer a season ending injury you can apply for a medical redshirt.
Given he was injured in the 6th game I think it's a long shot, at best
He can be OK as long as he doesn't playI could have sworn that Wilson referred to Diamont on his radio show tonight as being back, or being healthy again or something...
Based on the info below, Diamont should be eligible...Penn State was game six. I don't believe he has appeared in more than 3.6 games. If you play less than 30% of the season and suffer a season ending injury you can apply for a medical redshirt.

After the midpoint would've been RU right?Based on the info below, Diamont should be eligible...Penn State was game six. I don't believe he has appeared in more than 3.6 games.
"A special case involves the eligibility of a player who loses the majority of a season to injury. Popularly known as a medical redshirt, a hardship waiver may be granted to athletes who appear in fewer than 30% of team competitions (none after the midpoint of the season) then suffers a season-ending injury. Players granted such a waiver are treated for the purposes of eligibility as though they did not compete in that season."
I would think that anything after Penn State, so yes RU or any game after....unless they are going by some type of calendar. I that is the case, then I'm not sure what that would be...but given bye/off weeks, I would still think the sixth week on the calendar would still be prior to the half way point of the calendar season as the bucket game is in week 13 I believe. After the midpoint would've been RU right?
Don't think it really mattersI would think that anything after Penn State, so yes RU or any game after....unless they are going by some type of calendar. Ok again, why do you feel that way?Don't think it really matters

Just feel 2 or 3 more years won't make a great deal of differenceOk again, why do you feel that way?
The issue isn't whether a redshirt year will make him better or whether Diamont redshirting will make a difference in IU's future success. The issue is whether he is eligible to receive a redshirt and if the NCAA will grant one.Just feel 2 or 3 more years won't make a great deal of difference
Depending on how IU plays it, his shoulder could be a season ending injury.Nice. So the only missing link is now the season ending injury?
Ohh, okay. I agree, it is what it isJust feel 2 or 3 more years won't make a great deal of difference
