...is to learn how to handle success!

Up double digits in the first half. Up double digits in the second half. Playing good D, making our shots.

Then the Illini go on a 21-2 run, so another nail biter win at the end.

Why can't this team keep it's foot on the gas for forty minutes? What's the answer?

Looking forward to a game where we win going away.

Now if the Lady Hoosiers can win against Minny, it will be a really good day.

Have to agree with outanames.

With the three and the % some of these kids hit, all you need to have is three empty possessions and they hit three threes and POOF, a nine point lead is gone.

I understand your frustration but it just seems to be a product of the way the game is played today.

There's another team on the court.

Both teams have a say in how the game proceeds. Your complaint surmises only one team has a say in the shape of the contest.

Add to that the fact that no team just surrenders its home court to the visitor.

The bottom line is the W goes next to IU's name for this one. By 1 point, 5 points or 20 points, it's the same outcome.

What about Illinois giving up double digit leads in both halves?

It's the way the games played, teams are so evenly matched niw as well, look around the conferences and you won't see many blowouts. Why expect it from IU? I just don't get the expectations.

Give the team some credit. GEEZ They won on the road

in a hostile environment after starting slow, letting two big leads get away and going down almost 10 points in the last half of the second half, and came back to win solidly. Why try to demean their accomplishment?

I think you have to give Illinois a lot of credit in this game. I thought we played really well in some stretches with maybe just a few mental lapses. If we play this well the rest of the year then I think we finish really well. We do however need to play a little better defense. It is getting better though.

You realize there's another team out there play as well, right? Whose players are also trying to keep their foot on the gas for 40 minutes? Whose coaches try making adjustments as well?
