What is your confidence we beat Nebraska?

If You hit 60% of your free throws at Home, commit 3 times more turnovers than your opponent, give up 15 Offensive Rebounds and can't hit enough 3 point shots to open up the Middle, Youb can't beat a junior High Team.

60%? That’d be an improvement from recent games, wouldn’t it? Maybe not, but it seems like sub 50 to me with multiple Curley Fries misses (or whatever it is on the road).

Galloway was down to about 50% at one point recently. Overall the team shoots a little better than that but not nearly well enough.

If their Asian guard goes off on us again.... like the first time.... Game over for us.

(I said Asian guard.... cause I'm to lazy to look up his name.... and I'm not being racist)

Nebraska sucks something fierce when they play on the road. Only one win v. Kansas St. They pissed away two road games v. Rutgers and Minnesota which they were up double digits. Illinois on the road was insane. They were down 10 with 3 to go and tied it up and lost in OT. The rest of their games have been one shit show after another. Losing by double digits each time.

I give Indiana better odds than you fans all think. Woodson looks like a lost puppy but it would not surprise me one bit if IU wins by double digits. Nebraska doesn’t have a true point guard and they lack the presence of a big man down low which means Ware, Mgbako and Reneau could come up big. Especially if Nebraska struggles from the perimeter. It could get interesting if it comes to free throws but my pick is:

Nebraska 65
Indiana 71

I hope Nebraska wins by 16.

NWern also “sucks” on the road

To try and look at this logically and using math algorithms …..oh never mind.
I predict (based on what I've seen so far) that we'll play fairly hard for the first 5 minutes (just enough to give a little false hope) then proceed to let them get out to a thirty point lead (on multiple unguarded threes, mixed with uncontested layups) while we proceed to miss 65% of our free throws and 85% of our threes, and 55% of our 2's... Woody will continue to work on perfecting his "concerned" look on the sideline...

The refs won't give us a break on anything close because they figure, why should they, we aren't playing hard and we're going nowhere fast... Anything close to equal physicality on our part will be considered a Flagrant Foul... (Thanks X -[his is the gift that keeps on giving]...).

Then..., we'll play extra hard for the last 4 minutes (just enough to make the score appear respectable to someone who didn't watch the whole debacle), and leave everyone who did watch it wondering why they didn't play that hard the entire game...

Woody will blame (fill in the blank here) and completely ignore the concept that his coaching (or lack thereof) might just be a big part of the problem...

Probable Woody quote: "It's just a tough situation with X out.., man..."

These are 2 teams heading in opposite directions. Nebraska has a lot to play for with an NCAA tournament bid still in play for them. We are clinging to hopes for an NIT. Nebraska is better in the backcourt and can shoot the 3. That has proven to be a difficult matchup for IU. I think it will be somewhat close, but Nebraska has a little more to play for and win 79-72.

Nebraska is god awful on the road. I think Woodson shocks the world and wins this one
You're forgetting that no one treats Assembly Hall like an Away game anymore...

The good news is: At least we can be certain that at least one team will be wearing something close to INDIANA uniform colors this time around...

In case you hadn't noticed, I've completely lost faith in Woody's ability to coach this team... I was with him up through the end of January (figured that was enough time to get this group of AAU All-Stars to play like a real TEAM), but enough is enough...

I hate to be simplistic, but most of IU's games just depend on whether the other team can hit their 3s. IU has such a propensity to guard the 3pt horribly that the team's best chance at winning is to hope and pray that the other team to miss their open shots.

Since Nebraska relies so heavily on the 3, and IU guards so poorly, it's just a matter if Nebraska hits them or not.

I understand why a few on here have been saying they hope IU loses, but I can't do that. My heart says:

IU - 72
Neb - 67

That is true it is no longer a hostile enviroment. I have no faith in woodson is just figuere every once in awhile you may get a win and this is probably one of the last shots at that.

100% and carry woodson off on our shoulders like rudy.
May as well, might be the last chance to do it...

I still hope we win... I've just learned, the hard way, not to expect it.

We've got a really cool, Ultra-laid back, Dude running things, who shows no real concern or urgency (too many years in the NBA) when it matters... He can teach graduate level basketball technique but evidently can't remember how to coach the basics (and it shows)... I still want us to win but..., much like the players..., can't bring myself to really care anymore...

- Looking forward to Spring Football... -
