What has Baze done to earn exclusive PT

Other than being able to stay healthy (no small feat given the O line) what has Baze done to earn exclusive playing time. He’s been awful and it’s just hard to see how things could be worse with giving the other QBs a shot. Clemson changed QBs today during the game and they are a top 10 team!
