I have lived in MD for most of my life but only went to one other MD game. Finding our parking spot was tough due to the construction going on.
Been to five IU games in my life, living in MD. This was the fifth. At OSU years ago, UConn, UVA, Navy and MD.
Yoga pants are very nice.
The distance from parking to stadium was good, not like walking the airport runway at UConn years ago vs. IU.
Lots of tailgating, people drinking but seemed family friendly.
I thought the stadium was very fan friendly.
I won 6 tickets for $150 in a fundraiser, great seats.
The drunk MD fans around us seemed uninformed about IU, but friendly.
I took my dad and my son among the six, and they honored military veterans. My dad did 3-1/2 tours in Vietnam so that was cool.
Howard was hurt on the second or third play, is it the same ankle??
We subbed groups on Defense.
IU kicked to Likely and that scared me the entire game, but IU obviously did well.
The game took forever! The first qtr was 52 minutes. The refs were horrible in how long they took to discuss calls. And they made many bad calls, and I'm saying that as a high school football coach, not an IU fan.
Ross's first TD was tough, looked like a zone run that he broke backside, and we bit. But with both of his 70+ runs I was surprised we weren't able to tackle him because he is not known for his speed. Looked like we lack speed from our DBs.
IU played with attitude! They often got up and were in MD face. I liked it.
Camiel is nasty, Spriggs is good.
Given the chance, IU LBs will hit. Oliver had some nice ones.
I laughed when I saw Sudfeld and Paige next to each other, it looked like a dad and his young son. Paige is really good.
We had a lot of former walk ons play.
The MD team had no emotion, we sat 19 rows behind them. Didn't seem like a lot of coaching was going on.
Overall, it was a great time and awesome to see a win!
