I’m pretty sure IU had more than one chance to run up the score this season but ran the clock out instead. It’s called “class” — something OSU does not possess.I just wish someone would literally kick the living shit out of Day for running up the score on that last possession there! Basically a **** you to all of us IU fans! If WW3 were started, I hope ground zero is the Shoe!
Yes, and I bet Cig goes after a duel threat QB in the portal. Teams like Michigan and OSU knew the best way to stop Rourke and the IU offense was put enormous pressure on Rourke, since he’s strictly a drop back QB. If IU had a Antwaan Randle El type QB today it’d be a different game. All season long I thought that could be our undoing on offense, by having an immobile QB.Have to get better in the trenches. That’s what separates the good from the great teams.
What a poor post. Rethink and try again.Yes, and I bet Cig goes after a duel threat QB in the portal. And I'm glad we will!Well, guess we can keep Shanahan now.
Absolutely. It’s disappointing but I was just hoping for 6 wins and a bowl at the start of the year. This has still been an unprecedented season. Never thought I see us with 10 wins in a season. Despite today, love Cig and what he’s done.I'll take soon to be 11 -1..
Yearly ~

They weren't good today. How do you see IU making the playoff?I’m just upset that we didn’t play to our full potential. You don’t get these opportunities often. Big picture, I can’t be disappointed with the season and I don’t think you can assume we won’t still make the CFP either.
Well, don’t look now but Florida just beat Ole Miss and PSU is currently losing to Minnesota…They weren't good today. How do you see IU making the playoff?
Ole Miss lost. They weren't good today. How do you see IU making the playoff?
Ole Miss already lost to Florida. That’s loss number 3 for them. Minnesota looking good against Penn St, which if happens, is loss number 2 for Franklin. Need KU to wallop CU, making the Big 12 a one bid league. They weren't good today. How do you see IU making the playoff?
B12’s a one-bid league regardless.Ole Miss already lost to Florida. That’s loss number 3 for them. Minnesota looking good against Penn St, which if happens, is loss number 2 for Franklin. Need KU to wallop CU, making the Big 12 a one bid league.
They will stick with what I said before: 4 SEC teams and 4 Big Ten teams. I feel like the Michigan win was the playoff game for the. CFP. Ole. Miss was the threat. They are gone. Texas, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. That’s it.Ole Miss lost.
So what happens if UM beats OSU in Columbus?
Outside of that, I don’t think a 70 point win over PU helps at all. Maybe a bowl in a nice location (I’m waiting here in AZ!) would be fun especially since all the SEC teams will be in the CFB.
Penn State losing would just make four bids look bad, because committee had them above us before today. And might still even if they lose, since we lost.Ole Miss already lost to Florida. Day is unemployed. 😉So what happens if UM beats OSU in Columbus?

You can't try to score, then go for 2 and and on side kick when the game is already over then complain the other team scored a TD after all that.I’m pretty sure IU had more than one chance to run up the score this season but ran the clock out instead. IU didn't get the 2 by faking the kick. If Day wants to run it up, then be a man about it.You can't try to score, then go for 2 and and on side kick when the game is already over then complain the other team scored a TD after all that.
For a moment I thought maybe that might be the better option in this game. Frankly, I just think if we had had a veteran duel threat QB, instead of Rourke, that would make us less vulnerable on offense. OSU and Michigan made us look one dimensional and the defense won the Michigan game and would’ve given us a punchers chance in this one if our special teams hadn’t made mistakes. Right now we have a playoff level defense, but not offense. If that was the case we would have brought in Tayven.
I thought if anything it would be the other way around. Strange day today.Right now we have a playoff level defense, but not offense.
The only team Day runs the score up on is MichiganIU didn't get the 2 by faking the kick. If Day wants to run it up, then be a man about it.
Evidence to the contraryThe only team Day runs the score up on is Michigan
