High of 65 - 90% chance of rain - 100% humidity - and 15-20 MPH winds.

Who does this favor? Have to think passing will be more affected than running.

Wake's injured QB may be a blessing in disguise for them as it may force the more run-capable back-up to play.

Hopefully, Howard (and Redding) bring the right shoes and run wild on Saturday.

I'll be there in my Footjoy rain suit while the wifey will probably head to the mall.

Would have to think this favors IU since it seemingly would at least partly neutralize our biggest weakness - big passing plays on defense. Also, Wake seems to be turnover prone which might get exacerbated by the weather.

That's a huge plus for us, as a rookie QB won't be able to throw it well in those conditions, he's not been that great in perfect conditions. I think we can still throw it some and really let our RBs/OL eat!

I would think Howard would crush Wake Forest in rainy conditions...big positive for Indiana.

Yes, our running game and ability to stop the run are big advantages. Most of the yards we give up are big pass plays, so that would be negated somewhat. We just can't turn the ball over...

I worry this could be like a Virginia game from a few years back. We went to their place viewing it is a winnable road game and got blown out by halftime. Of course Lynch was still our coach back then.

While we do have a history of major letdowns, the Virginia game has one major caveat - literally half the team had the flu. Not saying we would have definitely won the game otherwise, but the flu was a huge reason why we weren't even competitive.

This is 100% accurate. That was the same year I believe Florida wanted to postpone a game due to the flu pandemic ravaging their team.

I thought that was the Penn St in DC game. No? But getting blown out early makes sense with a flu ridden team. Maybe I had the flu in DC...

It was Virginia. They took two team planes, one for guys that already had and were recovering from the flu and one for those who had not yet shown symptoms.
The biggest problem was that so many guys had missed practice during the week and they were trying to baby those who had not been sick. There was almost no real preparation that went into that week. A train wreck waiting to happen did in fact happen on Saturday afternoon. I really felt bad for the coaching staff, there was nothing anyone could do to help the situation.

Not raining in winston-salem at the present time. 62 degrees and not going to warm up much more. It is pretty windy....hope nate throws tight spirals today.
