For sure. But not like this past year. The inventory of houses on the market has taken a nose dive. We’ve been looking since just before the pandemic.Hasn’t that always been the case? South Florida (Atlantic side) has always been full of people from NY and Jersey.
The Yankees have a local affiliate network radio station. Every possible Giants game is televised in West Palm and Miami, even when the Giants suck. Lots of New Yorkers, especially Jewish New YorkersDon't they call it the Sixth Borough?

I add that 2+2 and get supidHe's saying Texas is being urbanized, and there's no indication these new urbanites are going to vote Republican. I was pointing out that this urbanization is partially a result of transplants from other states, which are largely moving to cities, not to the country. So add 2 + 2 and you get Blue.
California HHS: "California is slowly starting to emerge from the most dangerous surge of this pandemic yet. Californians heard the urgent message to stay home when possible and our surge after the December holidays did not overwhelm the health care system to the degree we had feared."California governor's budget booms despite pandemic problems
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California is again swimming in money. Ten months into a pandemic that has overwhelmed hospitals and prompted government shutdowns that left millions of people out of work and forced many small businesses to close, California Gov...apnews.com
Slightly off topic, but I’ll leave this here before a Southern Indiana Trumplican posts their obligatory “California is a socialist mess and in massive debt” nonsense.
A $15 billion surplus during a pandemic is impressive. Fact is, California is a very well ran state, fiscally. There are some safeguards in place that would make traditional conservatives proud.
You start at stupid. No math necessary.I add that 2+2 and get supid
I actually wonder. Same with fla. we’ll see. Homestead. No state income. Cheap college. Will be interesting what they look like in a decade
No words for how it infuriates me.these hypocrites accept and even push liberal policies until it becomes their own detriment, then move and restart the cycle of stupidity.
several prominent socially progressive bankers are now Fla residents. Only a matter of time before taxes explode down there
Favorables from Data for Progress Poll of Texas Voters:When the alternative is Beto, they kind of had no choice. I felt no shame voting Cruz in 2018, that’s for sure.
You can say what you want about Tip O'Neil, but Bob Dole was just a party brother.Yeah but one is an elected official in the most powerful political body in the world and the other gets high and writes jokes. What the hell is this country coming to. Can you imagine Tip O’Neil or Bob Dole doing this shit.

At first glance with Tennessee ranking 1st in long term fiscal stability, I assumed it to mean if you have no money and anticipate never having any money, you’re fiscally stable!Seems to be in the middle of the pack per this:
So true. The amount of Stl city cops receiving lifetime pay from the pension board for blown out knees etc is incredible. City EEs retiring at 40 with 50 percent pay for life etc. it’s an enormous drainAt first glance with Tennessee ranking 1st in long term fiscal stability, I assumed it to mean if you have no money and anticipate never having any money, you’re fiscally stable!
Seriously, I can see some states including California having a mixed outlook on fiscal stability. The article hit the nail on the head. Future pension obligations. It’s an albatross that needs to be dealt with. I know a few people that retired from city government jobs, with one being a firefighter. They make big bucks to retire relatively young.
Sounds like a disease spreading...Attracting the kind of people to flip their state blue? Yeah, I'd say that's doing something right.
Perhaps a blending that works.I don’t know if that’s true. Austin is picking up silicon tech and Miami is picking up Wall Street types. No state income, business friendly, Covid allowing folks to work from home with big lots is pushing the move. I have zero reason to believe they’re bringing progressive anything with them. Ellison isn’t. Musk isn’t.
Yes, the area is over run with horrible drivers with horrible accents.Hasn’t that always been the case? South Florida (Atlantic side) has always been full of people from NY and Jersey.
