What exactly is wrong with this kid?Our recruiting is coming back to reality.
Trieu at 247 said he looked really good at an elite 11 camp. But hey, if sparkey ain’t happy…Explain
He is looking at the offer list. However it's still pretty early for him. I'm betting more P5 schools offer soon. Hope he sticks with us.Explain
He won't be able to...Explain
I think you might mean Brian Dewitz, who spent a couple of years as a quarterback before Mal moved him to safety. He ran for a TD against OSU in 1986 and then had a pick against them in the ‘shoe a year later when we beat them in Columbus. Tough kid.He won't be able to...
Per usual..., Sparky is full of it... and completely clueless...
It's just important to him to be negative whenever possible... Another one of that ultra-strange breed that lives to whine whether it's merited or not...

We got a good one in Broc Lowery...
Reminds me of cross between Peyton Ramsey and Brian Dewitt on the toughness scale but with a better deep ball and better "touch" on the ball than both of them.
I love that he has played both ways and did it well...
His also having played S gives him a whole other level of understanding of what the Defense is trying to do out there...
He's also just enough of a decent runner to keep the D honest in how they attempt to attack him...
What's not to like???
Welcome Broc Lowery!!!
Tim Radtke and Don Schrader. They were both multi-year OL starters and by-products of Mal’s wholesale redshirting practice. Could be a little hot headed and intimidating when they were out and about enjoying the Bloomington social scene.Brian Dewitz accused me of hitting on his girlfriend at Hooligan's bar one night. He and two offensive lineman Racky and Schrader (not sure of spelling) threatened to kick my a$$. I somehow talked them out of it. Later that summer, our softball team played Brian's softball team for the league championship. He remembered me and the incident and we had a laugh about it. He was indeed a tough SOB.

Yeah, originally had his last name right but changed it after running across an old article about him... Should have stuck with my initial memory... I'm going to defend Sparkey here for a second. Idk about you guys, but IMO it's pretty obvious that our 2023 class isn't going to come close to the talent level of the 2022 class. By every available metric(recruiting rankings+P5 Offers), the kids we have committed or are in contention for in 2023 are not nearly the caliber of the 2022 class. This should be expected as we had the pitch of being the second best team in the B1G and the only team to compete with OSU in the previous season for the 2022 kids and the pitch the 2023 kids are all being recruited by an Indiana team that just finished bottom of the B1G.Our recruiting is coming back to reality.
Honestly, I don't remember hitting on her. I actually think she came up to the three of them and said that I didn't hit on her. It was a long time ago and a little fuzzy. I do recall that she was lava hot though. I'm not sure what was there before or after Hooligans. It was across the street from Nick's and the original Kilroy's. Had a bunch of fun there.Hooligan's went in after Motley's... right?
Okay think IU still has the ability to influence the recruiting class by how well they do this season. If they were to go on a roll, kids would pay attention and transfers would for sure.I'm going to defend Sparkey here for a second. Obviously it's not what we want to here, and I personally liked this kid's tape more than the 2022 QB commit(granted he was a very late pickup because of the Hoover decommitment), but recruiting is going to fall off for this class, y'all don't need to come down so harshly on someone for pointing out that very simple observation. It's important to remember this isn't a personal attack on the kids and that recruiting is just a starting point anyway. Texas beats Wisconsin on the recruiting trail every year, yet Wisconsin has accomplished far more than Texas has over the past decade.

Brian Dewitz is exactly who I meant... Ultra tough player...
Great memories....
