Watford just officially announced for

Alway's thought that was a looong shot...
Now if Wade would have been let go..We'd had a real shot.

Not as big loss as you might think - as long as Vijay accepts his spot back on the team w one of the two remaining scholarships...
I am trying to remain positive but this spring was pretty awful in regards to our recruiting. We whiffed on ever single guy we went after other than Brunk. Maybe it is time to start paying up!

We have shooter's..
We need maker's !
Imo.. The number one deal for Indiana is.. If Jerome Hunter plays at 100%..
Heck Hunter ...TJD ...Franklin..
That's a good class...
It is but the people keep forgetting the IF HUNTER plays part. We really need to add another shooter in case he does not.

Next years recruiting class better be good and this years team has to over achieve or Archie may be three and out. I’m an Archie guy too but recruiting this spring was pathetic and that should never be the case at IU.
Wow, you're up to your 567th profile?

Im an IU guy - I agree was poor recruiting especially with the option of adding 1 year grad transfer guys if for no other reason than practice depth. To sit on 2 scholarships is a waste.

I’m ready for Archie to put up or pack up.

Not surprised he didn't pick us, but I am that he picked LSU, though I guess I shouldn't be.
I think it certain the NCAA will take no action against any of the schools involved in this last scandal.
Once Memphis used their last scholarship, I thought Alabama.
Shows what the hell I know.

But I’ve been told on here Archie is a good recruiter. And yet he keeps whiffing. Were they wrong again?

Guess kids in the south don't think much of Bloomington Indiana...Right now.
UK..UNC..Memphis are where they're most likely heading..At lest the 5☆ OAD.
LSU isnt going to be some fantastic destination..
It'll be interesting once the OAD rule is changed. To see how that effect's thing's And Ol' Roy( 68) & Coach K (72 ) hang it up.
That's not that far off. Heck even Cal is (60).

well, than since at least April, Archie’s Hoosier’s should have been actively recruiting grad transfers even moreso, or other HS seniors, to fill out the practice squad...rather than sit on 2 scholarships
Weren't you the guy who bitched about the last grad transfer he brought in? Maybe the staff did look at possibilities - but didn't find anyone except Brunk who fit what they were trying to do?

nope - you will have a hard time finding a post of me bitching about any 18-25ish young men that commit to play for IU.
I did knock Damezi a little comparing him to an older uncle bb skills...and I wish I hadnt, it was uncalled for..

But, what is it you think that they were/are trying to do?

Well hard to compete with cash. I'm guessing if we went dirty we would get some of these guys. When you keep coming in 2nd to dirty programs its pretty obvious .

From what I’ve heard, there’s a couple of people that they’re still considering. Nothing definite.

This staff is more interested in developing their own - which is my guess why, despite all the consternation from fans (including myself) over how they played at times, Green and Smith are still on the roster. Both have the potential to be really good players within this system - especially Justin; his athletic ability works well within the packline IF he plays his position properly.

I saw a comment somewhere else which said “this fanbase is still trying to adjust to a coaching staff building something sustainable.” There’s a lot of truth to that statement.

apparently the ncaa has no teeth any longer. started when north carolina backed them down. there was some talk about schools abandoning the ncaa and/or starting a new governing body. don't know how all that would work out but perhaps the ncaa realized they might let the cash cow out of the barn if they starting laying the hammer down on the cheaters. seems they turned a blind eye to certain big time coaches cheating even before unc (coach k). a few decades ago, all of these programs caught up in the fbi investigation would have been handed the death penalty. today, most fans think there will be zero penalties. does the ncaa infraction committee have any real authority any longer or is it only if the schools agree to let them?

Kids from the East don't seem too thrilled either.

At least we got Christian to come to IU and give us that great UK memory.

I expect the “put up” to begin in November. This team is NCAA tourney bound.
