How in the holy hell did we end up with this traitorous imbecile? He couldn't have looked any more like an underling unless he wore a Russian flag pin and blew Putin to start the press conference.
Asked if he held Russia to account for anything to do with the election he goes off on a Mueller tangent and started talking about how he beat Hillary far and square. Talked about how the investigation is a disaster for our country.

Any chance they won't let Air Force One back into the country?

Haven't watched the whole thing, but it's clear Putin is Trump's daddy from all the clips

I'll say it again; I remain convinced that Trump is a Russian agent being handled directly by Putin himself. Trump probably thought this job performance appraisal meeting was going to yield him a pat on the head and perhaps a financial bonus, but instead he got more work to do before he leaves office.

The US is in more and more trouble the longer this guy remains in the presidency. By the time he's done the US populace will be looking to 2008-11 as the good old days.

I still can’t believe he essentially attacked NATO and his own country/former administrations and called the European Union an enemy.

Coupled with everything mentioned above in this thread the question that needs asking is what type of negotiations were we supposed to engage in with this summit?

How did we end up with him? Well, people claim it’s not because of Russian interference so the only explanation left is people were that gullible all on their own.

I watched some of the MSNBC coverage (they were going apeshit) and saw a few clips of Trump's remarks. Frankly, I saw nothing surprising. Same old same old. Not sure why everyone thinks this was so much more beyond the pale than what we've been dealing with already.

I'm right there with you. I also firmly believe that the private meeting with Putin was in regards to plans to steal the 2018 and 2020 elections. Equally disturbing is the likelihood that Trump gave away state secrets. This was literally the only opportunity for a private conversation with Putin. I pray that Finnish intelligence acting on behalf of the CIA bugged the conference room.

I've always wondered what would happen if a US translator just couldn't take it anymore and blew the whistle. I'm sure he/she could be prosecuted and sent to prison for something yuge -- treason or espionage or divulging state secrets or some such -- but it's an interesting thought nonetheless.

You have seen too many movies.

The difference is that it took place in a foreign country after a "secret" meeting with our former (even now?) enemy. Furthermore, bashing his former domestic rival in a world stage?

This might be just a bit too much, sir.

Was there a US translator? I assume Putin brought his own and he handled both the English and Russian translation. Why would Putin (or Trump) risk being caught?

Do you really think Trump cares about those niceties? Or that he's even cognizant of the fact that he's out of line?

Maybe I just don't have any outrage left, but nothing I saw or have read today surprises me. Sad.

Wow, McCain isn't pulling any punches

Wish the rest of the GOP (outside of the usual suspects being "concerned") would actually follow his lead and stand up for America

OMFG, there had to be. Please tell me there was one. (Pretty sure the woman in the pictures on Trump's right was his translator, BICBW.)

They'll be shouting over their shoulders as they head for the exit.

The idiots that thought voting for Gary Johnson or Jill Stein was a better alternative than Hillary Clinton because emails. America has the dumbest voting base on planet Earth. Hands down.

And we have another example of why I despise President Trump and why he’s not a Republican in any traditional sense. It’s why we have so many Republicans that consider him cancer in the party.

Great point. What was the purpose of this "summit"?

I contacted Senator Young's office and let them know that as a person who has voted for Republicans rather faithfully for 21 years, I am not happy how this is being handled. I asked that that message be delivered up the line to GOP leadership.

Other than screaming on social media, have any of you made your opinions known to people that can actually do something about it?

With respect, there are very few of Republicans that will actually do anything about his metastasis.

Good for you. Feel better? Will you vote for him (Trump) again? Or vote against Young if he doesn't raise a stink? How about voting for Donnelly? Is that in the cards?

Time for you to man up, buddy.
I could prove it mathematically yet again, but that would be useless. You thinking I helped Trump get elected proves that only math challenged morons think I helped Trump get elected. My case is solid and irrefutable.

Yes, but who is to say that the US translator wasn't herself a Russian asset. It appears the Russians have moles throughout our govt and legislature.

Putin won't take my calls. :D

To be fair/honest, this post has made me want to do this - I'm going to reach out to my congressmen/reps now.

Feel better? Not really. It becomes frustrating dealing with the choices we have. I feel the Democrats are tilting towards Socialism and The Donald obviously has his warts. I have some libertarian tendencies but they usually give me pause.

Right now I want to see how things play out.
