Watching Gonzaga vs St Mary’s

St .Marys was terrific the other night vs gonzaga. I knew gonzaga was not going to lose to them again. Gonzaga is good and if they get all the breaks could win it. But without breaks I dont see them winning it all. They arent great just good.
Weak. There are no teams who make it to the championship without a break or two. Gonzaga is a terrific team. One of several.

No they are a good team in a shitty conference. If they win it all I will never ever be on this board again. Some will love that but it's not happening so I am good. Gonzaga will likely lose before the final four. Bank it

UK ain't making it, either - unless they have Purdon't as their #2 seed / #3 seed.
Like most teams...depends on their draw. They're susceptible to athletic, physical teams. If they look at their region and have to play some combination of teams like Memphis, Houston, Michigan State, Rutgers, Baylor, Illinois...in the 32/16/8 games...then I could easily see one of them getting them.
If they only have to play, say 1 of those physical type of teams...maybe getting Arizona, UNC, Texas again...etc... They're just too talented and deep at each position/level. You're gonna have to beat them up, literally, to beat them. Because you're not going to out "basketball" them. Baylor beat them last year because they dominated them physically on the boards, and had a couple guys capable of making 3's. That was literally the ONLY type of team that could have beaten them last year. This years team isn't as dynamic, or as good, but that's the same type of team that'll give them troubles.
They scored 82 last night and didn't play very well against a great defensive team in St. Mary's who methodically pounds the ball. So many weapons at Gonzaga, they are the ideal tournament team.
St Marys is more like Wisconsin. I'm referring to Michigan State, West Virginia, Baylor type physical teams. Not necessarily slower tempo teams.
St Mary's isn't physically imposing, at all. And while St Mary's beat Gonzaga recently, they'd likely never beat them in an NCAA tournament game. Just like I'm guessing their record against Gonzaga in WCC tournament games is markedly worse than their record against them, at home, in regular season games.
