BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana wraps up its non-conference slate with a road contest at Ball State on Tuesday, May 12 at 3 p.m. ET. The Hoosiers, who have won five of their last six contests, are 19-10 in non-Big Ten games.

MUNCIE, Ind.
-- Indiana wrapped up its non-conference and road slates with a 9-5 win at Ball State on Tuesday afternoon, marking the Hoosiers' sixth victory in their last seven tries.

Indiana tallied 14 hits led by three each from Craig Dedelow and Brad Hartong, with both Hoosiers matching a career best in the hit column.

The Hoosiers scored the game's first five runs, posting three in the second inning and two in the third. IU received three consecutive two-out singles with in the second frame to score its first two runs before a wild pitch allowed Indiana to take a 3-0 advantage.

One of Brad Hartong's three singles was followed by Scott Donley's second home run of the season to push IU's lead to 5-0.

BSU didn't get a hit until the fourth stanza, when the Cardinals notched five of its nine hits and three of its five runs, forcing a pair of pitching changes for Indiana. Seven pitchers saw the mound for IU with RHP Christian Morris earning the win. Morris went 1.2 innings and retired the final two outs of the crucial fourth inning with bases loaded.

A ground out RBI by Austin Cangelosi and a RBI single from Brian Wilhite gave IU a 7-3 cushion in the fifth.

Ball State added a run in the bottom of the seventh and had runners on first and second, before RHP Scott Effross entered the game to retire the final two batters of the inning.

Indiana loaded the bases in the final frame, scoring on a hit by pitch and a walk with two outs. Ball State responded with a run before Ryan Halstead closed things out.
