Wow, Effross has been replaced by Will Coursen-Carr for the 2nd..

inning. Effross had been out since the end of Feb with soreness. I don't know if it was planned to just use him in the first inning or he felt discomfort. Anyway, it's 0-0 in the T2nd.

out when Donley was thrown out at the plate on a fielder's choice and Webb grounded out to SS. Couple of lineup changes for this game is Pasteur for Wilhite at short and Webb for Hartong behind the plate. Both Pasteur and Webb are frosh.

replaced by Hobbie after getting a K, but then putting two on after a single and walk. Hobbie had 2 Ks to end the threat.

IU batting B5th, still 1-0. Valpo got a lead off single, but Hobbie..

retired the next three batters.

Seventh inning stretch time with IU still clinging to a 1-0 lead. IU has..

five hits in the game to Valpo's four, all singles by both teams. Harrison replaced Foote in the T7th, and is the fifth pitcher used today. Valpo still has their starter in there. Also, Hartong replaced Webb at catcher.

error by the pitcher. Valpo is changing pitchers right now.

Hartong singles to drive in 2 giving IU a 3-0 lead. There's one out..

with Hartong on 1st.

Valpo batting T8th with IU up 4-0. Rodrigue drove in another run with...


a double (first extra base hit of the game by either team) that drove in Hartong. Belcher has replaced Harrison which is the 6th IU pitcher for the day.

IU wins 4-0 as Halstead closes it out. Seven IU pitchers combined..

for a 4-hit shutout. IU improves to 14-4. Now the start of conference play with a three-game series at PSU this weekend.
