Two Week Takeaways: What’s working, what isn’t after IU’s first two games?

When we do well or poorly I always wonder how good the opponent is. What was us really being bigger, stronger, faster (I.e, good) and what was just a less strong team.
ISU is now 0-2. Someone said earlier a real litmus test will be Louisville.

It was a weird game in some respects. First quarter when we came out blazing I was like, "Well heck, we might hang 70 on the board tonight!" That second quarter though, its like we veered off the interstate going 80 mph right onto some gravel road and took a Sunday drive. We played down to them for about a quarter and a half, which is always a danger playing an FCS squad like IN St.

Plus you have to know, when most of the IN St. kids are from Indiana, they, just like the ones that end up at like Ball St., are ALWAYS gonna play with a chip on their shoulder because they didn't get a chance with the "big boy schools." Give them a chance and they'll pop ya. That one running back from IN St. was from Brazil and I thought he was about to have a night before the D tightened up and shut him down.

Yes CMG and all the new guys are working out … CMG game plan v. Jeff Brohm should be a key to the game in Lucas Oil
