Except that he didn't understand that the vast majority of undeveloped forest land in California is Federal land, outside the control of the state of California. The people who were doing a shitty job worked for him.

The Florida lands in the NPR article are predominantly privately held.

First off, the West includes far more than CA. ID,MT,WY... Is CA somehow responsible for their fires as well?

Maybe CA should adopt the "Finnish method" of raking the forest. The funny thing is, no one in Finland has the slightest idea wth Trump was blabbering about...

Did you even read the first sentence of the politico article, where it talks about "offering questionable remedies" and basically links that to Trump? Or this passage here...

The latter point was brought up by someone in this very thread... I didn't even have to google to disprove your argument. I just READ the article you linked...
