And to put a finer point on it, even racists and white supremacists know it's bad and culturally unacceptable to be openly known as a racist and white supremacist. "Culture war" is their new cover/banner that enough stupid and scared people will buy into.
Agreed that’s the aim but I think the people who will buy into it would have already voted for him. I don’t think this approach brings undecided voters.

He needs to get his FACTS straight, though he's probably distorting events on purpose. A member of Bubba's crew found the noose rope and contacted NASCAR security. The people at the Security section THEN called Bubba and INFORMED him. It was a very unfortunate misunderstanding, but NOT a "hoax". And in no sense does Bubba owe ANYONE an apology...
These racial divide tactics are a result of one single factor- Internal Trump polling showing him losing in RED states like NC, GA, and even tied or barely ahead in TX. This is an attempt to agitate the "base" in those areas and save him from an embarrassing whupping...
You're probably correct with regard to not bringing in new voters.
That said, this strategy will further endear him to a large part of his base. As the old saying goes, "not all Trump supporters are racists, but all racists are Trump supporters". He can't afford to alienate that part of this base - he'd definitely lose the election if they turned on him. He'll continue the racist or 'culture war' affronts through November because he feels like he has to.
You’d have to ask them. From what I’ve heard it’s caravans, muslims, socialists, Antifa and BLM. Ironically, these same people are not much afraid of a virus that has killed 130,000 Americans.

Any Republican ladies and gentlemen who still support Trump have ignored his racism this long. They'll have no problem adapting if he turns it up a couple more notches.
And distract from the other events that are going on like Covid-19, Ghislaine Maxwell, Russian bounty gate, etc. It doesn't work as well as it used to.
And in other news US presidents shouldn't concern themselves with, Trump is now railing against the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians for considering name changes.

Rational people look for rational explanations for Trump’s aberrant behavior, and there may be something to these takes. But when I call Trump a corrupt incompetent sociopath, I mean this literally. If you believe as I do that he’s a mentally unfit imbecile, then there’s no need to guess what plan he’s pursuing. Even if he does think he’s pursuing a plan, that “plan” will be only a manifestation of his disordered mind.
Trump shouldn’t have been allowed into the White House on a visitor’s pass, but 63 million of us thought he should be President. It’s because of that choice that America is flailing while the rest of the developed world kicks our ass.
