I recently went to my third straight Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament (MAIT). Indiana has had commitments from Montverde all three of those years. This time it is Trent Sisley, a homegrown Hoosier, who had the opportunity and decided it was too good to pass up for his personal development. And he was right as rain! Nothing against Heritage Hills, but he was constantly having to play out of position and not getting to prepare himself for the college game. Sisley also had the chance to be coached by Kevin Boyle, who has won 8 of the last 12 national championships. Currently Sisley is leading Montverde in both FG and 3-Pt shooting at 65% and 47% respectively! This is on a team that has played and defeated the like of Utah Prep, coached by IU great Keith Smart, with the #1 recruit in the country, AJ Dybantsa. Watching him play you can see his development and Hoosier fans should be happy that they will have him around most likely for 4 years. Sisley is COMMITTED to INDIANA, not a coach, which is rare. He wants to play for and at Indiana.

Yep. And we really missed on Mullins and Harrelson. 3 Indiana kids who would have been a great foundation for the next coach.
Yeah, it seems Trent wanted to play for IU so bad that the coach’s recruiting effort or lack of effort didn’t even matter. I’m really excited for probably 4 years with this guy! There seems to be some Robbie Hummel to his game.
