Travis Perry was reportedly outstanding at IU Team Camp

Read the report over the weekend on how he did all 3 games, I think this is the kid thats already scored 3000 pts in his hs school career, thought I remember seeing somewhere 8th graders in kty can play varsity.
Nice to see video of kid in action, looks to other players, takes shots in rhythm of offense, had nice stat line for 3 games. Hard to tell how good he really is in this environment but that can be said of all players and form looks really good. Now that we are getting more athletic players, a very good spot up shooter would be a great compliment and he looks like he would fill that need

He looks better than just a spot up guy. I live close enough to Lyon county to go watch him. Looks like he has a quick release, passes well too.

one of the last great kentucky high school snipers that I can remember (i assume there are others since), Chris Loften, found his way out of the state of kentucky and ended up with Pearl at UTenn.
wondering if this could be another case and maybe he comes our way.

Only question I'd have is what does a Cupps/Perry backcourt look like in today's game? Obviously shooting and playmaking would be fine, but how physical could they be? How good would they be defensively? Kind of like when we had Yogi and Hulls together. They were both really, really good college guards. And they both would have been starters or main rotation guys pretty much anywhere. But playing them together created some difficult dynamics to overcome.

Good chance they would rarely see the court together! We will have too many talented 2’s with much more size & athleticism.

Are we recruiting Perry? Sorry, I don't keep up as much as I used to. I don't see the point of recruiting guys like them that are so similar. 6'6 athletic wings that can guard multiple positions...yeah, I'd take 3-4 of those. Not smaller guards like them.

I am guessing that the recruitment of Perry will depend on whether JHS stays more than two years. I agree that I hope our two's are at least 6'4" and our 3's are at least 6'6" and our 3/4" are at least 6'8". I hope that Power is our #1 recruit in 2023- he fills a lot of needs. I like McNeely for 2024 and Haralson.

As of now, Haralson is 25 I think. Is he a likely reclassify kid?
