YouTube has a film called "The Pottery Maker", a 1926 movie about how to make pottery. But the makers wanted to cast someone famous in the movie to get it watched, so they created a short story around making pottery so they could cast a famous person. The grandmother in the film is Libbie Custer, widow of George Armstrong. Looking her up, she was still famous in the 1920s and big on the lecture circuit which allowed her to accumulate good wealth. A clip of the movie was shown long ago on PBS' Last Stand at Little Big Horn, but unless you saw it this is probably new. The timeframe between GA Custer and movies is so long it is incredible to think of his widow appearing in a movie. And no, there is no six degrees to Bacon.
