I never really followed Kobe as a player. He was brash and played for LA, neither really attracts me. But since his retirement, I heard him talking about his daughter's game. That was something that really reasonated with me. Seeing she was in the accident makes it so much more tragic.
It was so strange at the game. The William Tell time out was very subdued, and never is at a big game. The students usually stand the whole game and nearly the whole section was seated on their phones. I took mine out and saw the news. It sucked all of the air out of the building.
