TJD Hisense NIL deal

Wouldn’t make much sense for either party to engage in this deal unless TJD was staying, right?
Just speculating because I don’t know much about NIL.

I think he knows what he needs to work on and Woody likely has strong contacts in NBA to get him further feedback whether he goes to NBA camp or not. Now if he is looking for feedback on who might draft him in 2nd round or offer him 2-way contract then he may need to go to NBA draft camp.

It means people are throwing money at him right now. I think that is a very good sign
To be fair, the promotion they are running is for the tournament and ends April 4th. TJD is the star of one of the biggest fanbases in college basketball. If they are looking to sell a bunch of TVs this weekend, it makes sense to throw some money at him for a couple social media posts.

I don't think this deal has any correlation with him coming back next year.

More money he makes more money he anticipates he will make for next year. I would bet another pay day from Hisense would happen if he returned.

You guys are a trip with your manufactured drama.
You mean like the Oscars? I don't know which story is more intriguing, was the assault real or not and was he or was he not asked to leave the premises afterwards and finally, were those tears real? Did we just see a raging man of anger yelling for Chris to keep his wife out of his fuc*ing hole? Then almost immediately followed by a sensitive man of humbleness and forgiving, able to well the tears of crocodiles, which appeared to me as if too perfect, something they would be very skilled at doing within their professional ranks, perhaps some newly manufactured technology of digitization they employ. I apologize for the lengthy sentence. Sometimes I just gotta let it out in public. We all take that risk, man and woman.

No. All players signed a NIL contract with IU at the beginning of the year allowing them to use IU logos/gear in NIL deals.

Thanks. Didn't know that. Originally, that wasn't going to be allowed, was it? Like doing a commercial in uniform?

Correct. That’s why IU came up with the idea which allows them to. Good publicity for both sides.

I thought originally they didn't want to imply that the University was endorsing the product or whatever. I guess they must have decided they didn't give a shit.

This could be a well-placed agreement for a single influencer endorsement (one tweet, three tweet) at a strategic time when (as you can see) it would get a ton of attention.

Nice Marketing move if that is what Hisense did.

yeah how did we go from TJD's decision to the infamous Oscars slap? Seems like a rather abrupt transition.
I'm the guilty one, triggered to the term "manufactured drama". I go nuts every time I see those two words in tandem. My wife grew up the middle one in a family of five girls. I know drama. I hear it everyday. For my outburst, I apologize for sabotaging this thread. Now, carry on as you began and I promise to depart in silence.

How do you feel about the two words
'conspiracy theory' in tandem?
