Tiebreaker

I believe the next tie breaker that would count is how they did against the highest rated common opponent, which would be O$U who beat IU by more points than they beat PSU so they would go to the Indy game.

My question is, would it be helpful for IU to NOT play in the BIG chamionship? I think we are 90% sure to be in the playoff if we don't make the championship game. However, if we make the championship game and have an outcome similar to the Ohio State game, I think we miss out on the playoffs.

Of course, this is assuming Purdue doesn't come out and steal one from us.

What I’d love to know is “how many (if any) spots would OSU and/or PSU drop if they lose today?”

I suspect the answer would be “not as many as IU dropped after losing to OSU”

The tiebreaker is conference opponents win %. Penn State has conference opponents with better combined record
