So I’m curious about the answers to this question. Yes, we’re all spending much more time at home with our loved ones but what has that meant for us. Certainly the opportunities for sex are more frequent then pre quarantine days, but I also wonder how much staying at home has had a negative affect on our psyche.

Honestly, staying at home has had a mixture of results for our family. We definitely have had much more quality family time (a positive), but the level of anxiety for each member has been thorough the roof (negative). So I’d say we’re having less sex.
The mental burden of our anxiety, along with my wife being a front line worker in the medical community has made it tough to be in the “mood”.

Maybe our situation is a bad example since my wife is a front line worker. I guess that’s partly why I ask the question to find out how your relationships are going.

I’m also not suggesting that less sex right now is a signal of a relationship on the rocks, maybe just a sign of the times. Thoughts?

I'm the only one who said the same. We have always had a good life in that way. At least as much as possible while raising four children. Like Frank Barone told his sons when discussing sex,"You were holding me back". When you have kids in the house you have to plan for lovin. It might not be as spontaneous and exciting. But it is gratifying. I told my wife not too long ago,"Babe, you must be doing something right because I always want to do it again". She didn't say thank you or anything but I think she appreciated my words.

I love it when you talk dirty.

Less because my father in law moved in with us during stay at home order. He’s going home today. He is a great guy but it hopefully goes back to normal this next week.

Dude, you had a free cameraman at your disposal. What a waste of labor. Now post some pics of the wife.

Careful.

Within 48 hours US media wrote stories about Chinese studies about whether semen could transmit Covid.

One said yes.
One said no.

Facebook had memes.
Twitter had tweets.

All remains abnormal.

Or a spike in domestic abuse cases. Hopefully not.

Thats why in some countries like South Africa they have also banned alcohol sales during the lockdown. The people are up in arms now that its gone on for like 6 weeks. Some have started brewing their own alcohol which has also led to some deaths.

A lot less nowadays. Part of the lockdown is that you are not allowed to go to places other than work, groceries, medical or exercise. They can fine you if you are caught a certain distance from your home. I think its the same in the UK and they have dished out like 14,000 fines to date.

My play friends cant come over as a result. One of them works in the frontline so if she gets the virus and needs to declare all the places she has been, it would not be a good look. Probably lose her job.
I do have one which is willing to take the chance... misses the (loud) 'cuddles' -- she has been making more of an effort lately. And is coming over later today.

But overall, this Covid thing is bad for business and real bad for my sex life.

I would say the same. My wife has been at home, but I have been going to work as an essential person. We have had more quiet weekends around home. I would have expected more had this happened when we were outside more around the pool with a glass of wine. Staying home would have been more relaxing if the weather had been warmer.

We have enjoyed the backyard in the evening and how quiet it has been. The yard and the landscaping is in the best shape it has ever been in since we have no place to go except Lowes and Menards. Looking forward to nighttime swims with only light from the fire pit and the pool light. It works every time!

Its that 'active' at the gyms? I am probably too blur to such social activities. I barely talk to anyone at the gym unless in some yoga class.

I don't work and play well with others at the gym. I really hate classes for the most part, as other people tend to annoy me when I'm working out. I do like the SPIN classes that track progress and allow you to compete against others. I'm a cardio guy, so if I'm doing weights, I'm generally grumpy. Since I really wasn't benfitting from the social aspects of a gym, about 9 months ago, I cancelled the gym membership and bought a nice rowing machine, thinking I'd workout more at home without the extra 20-30 minutes of driving and waiting on machines. My normal rowing workout is done in 30 minutes. I still haven't been using it as frequently as I'd like, mainly because I've been working so much more, but I do like the workout. Miss Jacobs Ladder (still my favorite cardio workout), the sauna and hoops. Think Caps in DC, so I know he wasn't lurking around my gym, but makes me more suspicious of the naked locker room dudes. Kinda like your girly boy pics, sap some of the fun from your thai girl pics! Bastards.

PS, for the last time, get offa my lawn!

PSS, I live in SC, so our gyms reopen this week I believe, maybe already. Dipchit Republican, Trump-lovin Governor I'm afraid. Stupid because I work 8 miles from home in Democratic Governor NC, and they are about 2 weeks behind on everything, when about 20% of Charlotte NC's workforce comes from SC.

Jacobs Ladder ain’t no joke. I usually use it for my cardio warmup before hitting the weights.

No it's not. I was a runner growing up, but have such bad wheels, I haven't been able to run for years. I wish it was a good story like some dude took my knees out in a hoops game because of jealousy or the way I stared at them, but it was mostly bad genes.

Anyway, it's the only cardio workout that got me as exhausted as a good hard run. A stairclimber made me sweat as much, but not that overall body exhaustion (and later runner's high!) that JL does. Even my rowing machine, while I think it's a better upper body and overall workout, doesn't get me as pooped as JL. I miss that one, but am soldiering on, and with CV, I couldn't have used it anyway.

When I first moved into my current condo, or any place live here I always look at the exercise options -- nearest gym, where it's near or by a Park Connector Network (PCN)* or whether it has decent set of gym equipment.
Where I am at the gym sucked at first -- so I bought a Boxflex machine, M5 I think its called. Not bad especially its 12 or 14mns workout set.

Then within 3 months, they replaced all the machines downstairs! So the Boxflex is a white elephant and not for the only time. I got a full-size industrial-grade stairmaster and a set of universal gym in my previous place. White elephant as I found out the at the nearby gym had better classes and more interesting participants esp for yoga.

In fact, I came from some work trip abroad and the GF then had paid some people to remove it. That's why I knew that was the end of that relationship. (10k worth of equipment thrown out) But to be fair to her, I had not noticed it until two or three days later! :)

* The PCN is a continuous exercise/biking path that they built that connects the entire country's various parks and paths. I think its like 200+miles.
I can literally get from north-eat corner to the south-west corner without having to come in contact with a car/vehicle directly. Maybe parallel to the roads in some instances but the rest are specially designed paths.

Not sure how that helps -- the sudden and heavy breathing from an asymptotic gym rat would exhale. And that is the danger and the subsequent inhalation of their droplets is the critical infection route.

Gyms are going to be really tricky, with all the sweating, touching of equipment (Oh yeah, I said it!), and heaving breathing (I said that too!). I guess I can see the shields, but those machines still look too close together to me. Seems like every other one should be removed. Maybe block every other one with cones, and then rotate every 2 hours and have staff clean the ones out of service?

Very tricky with gyms you are right. They aren't the best businesses to get into to start with. Now you need to consider restrictions on number of people at the gym at any one time, limit the number of participants in kickboxing spin classes etc...

Yoo, the only thing that gives me some happiness in these times is sex. I live with my girl and that is all we do honestly. We were going wild really and I started having some problems with my erections. Thankfully I have found a solution quickly. I got some levitra precio online and they delivered it to me. My girl has no idea about it and those pills make me even better. I could not let my girl be disappointed so I had to do it and honestly I don't regret it.
