Last game was great but only IF IU follows it with a win. Outside of the fan base, the feeling is that tOSU played down to IU. If the team does not win this week that opinion has merit. If IU wins on the road, it makes last week look a whole lot better, otherwise it will be viewed as just a fluke.

Beat Penn State.
Earn respect.

IMO, the Hoosiers should beat PSU, Rutgers, Maryland and the Boilers. That would garner a nice bowl

If we can beat PSU and come home to play Rutgers for a bowl birth I like our chances. Lets beat PSU first then take care of business at home. Beat PSU and we are 5-1 how long has it been since we were 5-1?

Man, it's time we go into Happy Valley and beat Penn State, that's just all there is to it. It's really too bad we didn't get that completion at the end of the game last weekend and go on to beat tO$U and it's time we win one of those. This team has been riding the ragged edge of turning the corner for a while. They are on the cusp. There are still some flaws obviously and some work to do to build this team, but they are better than they were last year and they're starting to build some depth. They're legit. It's time. Time to beat the Nittany Lions, then come home, forget that game, take care of business in practice, and beat Rutgers. But I hope they're not thinking that far ahead - it's ALL about Penn State right now.

Go Hoosiers!

I think a bigger emotional hurdle is thinking backwards rather than too far ahead. 10 yards from taking the National Champions into OT is likely weighing on their minds more than Rutgers in two weeks.

Saturday is all about who starts fast and who doesn't imo

. . . "bowl birth" . . . perhaps no more profound statement has been unintendedly made about IU football . . . .

You could be right, and I can tell by Coach Wilson's presser that he's worried some about that too, and has been pounding the message that it's all about the next game, and only the next game. Hopefully that message sticks.

They could also use coming that close last week as motivation though. Knowing they went toe-to-toe with #1 might make them really believe that if they bring all they have, they can beat anyone. Hopefully the guys come out with the same passion they had last week.

Reading all these posts hits home again how were up against our worst enemy now...not PSU...ourselves. As a team we've had our good games, moral victories, and a few upsets. What we've not had in too long is two or more consistent games, no matter who is at QB or coach. It's like a chronic disease... We so rarely have real success we haven't handled it when it's come. Imo this is more of a hurdle than who we play. I know ive said it a dozen times but unless we start a real trend of playing well, the OSU game loses all tangible meaning. How about now as a start?
