This was our worst IU Football experience ever, but still

there were one or two things I take from the game that leave me with just a faint bit of hope.

Nate, in the first three quarters threw some of the best balls I've seen him throw this season. The ball that he threw that just literally dropped into Ricky Jones hands in the endzone was a thing of beauty.

Mike Majette's quickness, elusiveness, and surprising power for a smallish back was impressive. There was one play in particular where he got through the first level and carried a couple defenders on his back as he tried to reach the goal line. I look forward to Howard's return and the thought of putting Majette in there when Howard gets a blow. It's much more encouraging than what we've seen up until now.

I still believe that things are going, overall, the right direction. Not that Wilson might not find himself out of a job after the season but I'm still hoping the team can somehow pull out at least two more wins this season and Wilson can get a modest extension.

That said, this was our last opportunity of this season to get to B-Town to see a game. I wouldn't be at all shocked if I just attended my last game with Wilson as coach.
