This IU team needs strong leadership

No question about it, TJD was the clear leader the last 2 seasons. The only guy I see (admittedly after only 4 games) who appears to embrace leadership is Cupps, and of course that has its challenges since he’s a freshman, not a starter, and not the team’s best player. But, you see him repeatedly directing (correcting?) players with no hesitation. I observed it yesterday with Cupps and X, who kind of shrugged off Cupp’s comments. Same with Cupps and Trey. You’d think X and Trey would be the team leaders, but neither seem comfortable in that role, but are obviously still key players. Woody’s got a real dilemma here, just because he says X and Trey are the leaders doesn’t make them good leaders. Can’t recall a past IU team that was successful without team leaders.
