Rich Rod just got himself fired with cause at AZ which made me decide to peruse their current staff to see who else might soon be available out there in the coaching ranks...

A young guy I tripped over who "might" be able that help us in a couple of different ways is this fellow:

If we haven't already finalized our 10th coach hire he could help us as another Florida recruiter and as an Offensive Tackles only coach. Taking some of the load off our lead dog..., and allowing him to concentrate on coaching the Guards & Centers, along with coordinating the run game.

Now here's the outside the box concept: if we can't find a staff slot maybe we might be able to hire him as a (temporary 1 yr deal) assistant Strength coach thus having a guy who can coach actual technique along with Conditioning.

OK, go ahead and tell me what a lame idea this all is...:(;)

Just before Christmas, FootballScoop.com broke it that IU's 10th coach would be Kane Wommack, who is the son of Dave Wommack, so there are very close ties to CTA.

I haven't seen this confirmed or denied anywhere.

FootballScoop.com might also have been the first outfit to report that Dave Ballou would be IU's new strength and conditioning coach.

First..., thanks...

I did recall seeing that but fairly recently I had also read TA say something to the effect of..., that they were still evaluating that position (or I may have dreamed that)...

I'm with you on thinking it will probably be Kane Womack, but if it isn't, I like this guy.

I guessing that the opinion of an anonymous poster on a message board that spends more then half its time criticizing TA and staff isn't exactly the first source he'll turn to for staff upgrade info but there it is anyway...;)

So, more than likely, Welcome Kane Womack!:D
