Dennis Green quote aside, did it really only take ONE half of play vs. the reigning national champion, for people to disregard how good our team has been all season? All while OSU has had multiple games like that this season?

We know what this team has routinely done all season and we also know this sport is about executing consistently. That's what IU does best.

I hope we go into that shoe and shock, not the nation, but 49 states not named Indiana! LFG!

As we await our fate, game time temperature of 44 degrees, finishing at 46 with wind gusts up to 22 mph, cloudy. It could be worse, but better is preferred when it comes to slinging the inflated pigskin.

Looking ahead to the Bucket Game, high of 41 degrees under cloudy skies. If it’s a late game, expect in the mid-high 30’s. Don’t take PU too lightly, despite their dismal record. I can remember when it was always said you can throw out the W-L records for this game. They will have nothing to lose, while IU…everything.

My thoughts exactly

I don't know where some naysayers on this board came from. I understand a lot more from around the country.

I do understand thinking we'll lose to a very good team at their home, the shoe. Tough environment for any team. What I don't understand is the idea that it's almost expected, that we're overrated, that the talent differential is too large.

We're a very good B1G team. With talent. Indiana has played as a team, with very few weak spots, all year. Likely to play a complete game today. More likely to play well then not play well. If Cig's mantra about doing it day after day, 6 seconds at a time, has validity.

We can beat Ohio State. We can beat all the SEC teams too. We can get beat by the best ones, that's why they're tough games and tough teams. So are we.

Those Sarratt drops were the difference. UM runs the ball so they gobble up the clock. IU didn't have all that many attempts but we had open receivers and good passes. We just need to make those catches and we will.
What worries me is our lack of a run game. In our last two games our rushing attack was seasonal lows. Against MSU Ellison was our leading rusher with just 32 yards, and Lawton had 55 against Michigan, but as a team we were under 100 in both games. We need to have over 100 yards on the ground today to assure a balanced attack against that OSU defense.

Me too.

But, I expect to see a decent run game. Rourke gets better protection. And the offense has a good day.

Now, imo the defense will depend on if those big fast receivers are able to run after the catch or can we limit it. I think we can, secondary has been coming around. I think we can pressure them, and if so, hopefully that creates big third or fourth down stops or a pick or two. They have a good run game too, look balanced. Come on DEE! I think we'll get points enough to win.

Where is a Tevin Coleman when we need him? FWIW, Purdue’s leading rusher last night was Devin Mockobee, 9 carries for 14 yards.
