Suds is the starter. End of sentence. He is THE man.
So flipping good to have Diamont as #2. Seriously feel good about what he can bring when we need him.
Seriously feel better...more confident...in him as a starter in '16. I believe this year and his continued development will bring the arm strength necessary for something great as our starter next year.

Having said that.

I know Coach and the other QBs will make it a competition next year.

But Diamont has that thing you can't put a finger on...

Now that Zanders redshirt is burnt we need to utilize him. Give him 5-10 read options a game.

Sudfeld was wanting back in the game in a bad way in the 4th quarter. I watched him go up to Wilson during a timeout and say something and then his head dropped when Wilson obviously told him "no."

He wanted to get in to win it after Diamont got them in position. IMO, Sudfeld has had an underwhelming season. His throws have not been accurate and he has not been the man, this has been Howard's team so far.

Might be a good idea to give Nate this week off and roll with Zander. If Nate is up to it if things go bad he can come in. If we can handle PSU with Zander maybe even extend it through the Rutgers game. I guess it will all hinge also on the RB situation.

A couple drops hurt IMHO

Oh yeah, that might be a big understatement there too. Cobbs had a couple big drops and so did Graham. You've got to make those catches. Some were cases of trying to make a move before the ball was secured, and some seemed to be a case of "hearing footsteps" of defenders. Either way, you have to make those catches, especially when they hit you in the hands, or in one case the numbers.

I don't see why there should even be a doubt, if Nate is good to go and healthy enough to make the throws with some mobility he is the guy. Don't get me wrong, Zander has moxie, and he adds a different element to the game that Nate can't, but defenses respect Nate's arm, they don't respect Zander's, and Nate's arm and the threat of stretching the field helps open up IU's run game.
