Nobody is mature enough to handle it.

What had up to the Q & A point been a pretty good presser by Trump standards...real data, a lower percentage of self congratulations...fell in the sewer quickly at Q & A. Trump isn't mature enough to handle it and neither is the press corps.

There are two wars going on here...the war on the virus and the political war for Nov. The latter is restricting progress on the former.

Or we could have a Q&A with people who can answer questions capably. The President doesn't need to be involved in answering questions when there are capable experts who can actually answer them capably.

Things went well when it was Pence and the experts doing the briefings. Then Pence started getting some props for putting out a relatively coherent message, and Fauci became the face of the admin's coronavirus effort. Trump couldn't stand that. He had to blow it up. He can't help himself. It always has to be about him.

That is true and solves a significant part of the problem. Those of us paying attention would gets facts without Trump's BS and It would frustrate the reporters who could not care less about the data. The cherry on top is seeing Erin burnett looking even more constipated than usual.

Ultimately reporters are reactionaries. If there is BS thrown in their direction you would expect them to be reacting to it right?

Imagine sitting in a room where the person in question is lying to you or misusing information to back up his many false statements EVERY DAY.

Let see how constipated you will look after three years of this.

They are simply looking in the mirror.
