The next IU Football Coach MUST be a defensive-minded coach

Offense has rarely been the problem at IU. We need to get a coach who lives for defense and then go from there. Not sure who that would be, but it must be the focus on the next hire. Of course, college football in general these days does not play much defense... just look at the scores each week... so I'm not sure that type of coach (who would consider coming to IU) even exists.

I understand your desire for defense, but what we really need is talent on both sides of the ball. So, if we had OSU's or MSU, or Iowa's talent on defense, this group of coaches would still allow 600 yards per game? The issue is that we have just started recruiting defensive talent the last couple years, but we are still way behind the 8 ball when we play Big 10 teams or even MAC teams. You could be the greatest defensive coach in the world, but if you don't have the kids; the results will be similar.
