The most significant adjustment in the second half was NW OC playing not to lose.

Devastating start to Purdue's season. This was a game they really needed to win. They've got only three conference home games remaining, and two of them are against Ohio State and Wisconsin. It's going to be very difficult to equal last year's record.
I was watching Mr Purdue. If the defense is so great, they hold them to field goals. Anyway, the game clincher pretty much sums up all you need to know about their defense.
I thought Purdue would roll Northwestern, glad I was mistaken!!! I think Purdue will certainly be a challenge to play and defeat, though. They've got a stud in Moore.

Truly mystifying why some so called fans are so eager to settle for less. Part of the culture, I guess.
I think Holt gets them to play hard, no doubt, but outside of 3 guys, they looked sluggish on defense up front and the other LBs besides Bailey were pushed around at the goal line stands. They are limited in depth on defense and they have to, like IU, pray they don’t have injuries. The depth on defense makes the margin for error, not to mention fatigue, take its toll as the season rolls on.
Purdue d wasn't good. More nw offense. I wasn't impressed with nw receivers. Lack speed.

All the talk was how PU was going to win that game. And become a powerhouse. They lost. At home.
Rondale is good. The rest, not so much.
If it wasn't for Moore that would have been a beat down. NW having to pull the starting QB was probably the reason it wasn't anyway.

Moore was purely a Brohm play. Moore is from Looyville and the Brohm family is royalty down there. Hitched his wagon to the coach.
Good point. Just read that Thorson was on a "pitch count." His backup, Green, is a walk-on. Northwestern clearly wasn't at their best.
