Here's our roundup of IU basketball, football and recruiting news:

All eyes for 2018 remain on New Albany five-star guard Romeo Langford (6-4, 185 pounds, No. 6 player nationally).
We caught Langford in-action at Bloomington South recently. In case you missed that…
Langford updates recruiting

The Langfords did not make it to the Duke game but watched it on television.
Other than that, there’s not much to update on Romeo guys. He’s down to the final three and that’s been very well documented.
In 2019, Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove four-star forward Trayce Jackson-Davis (6-9, 210 pounds, No. 48 player nationally) did come to the Duke game. I think he’s been on IU’s campus more than me this fall.
TJD sat with signee Rob Phinisee and was notably excited for IU during the game. Usually recruits that aren’t committed can be more reserved, so, chalk that up as just another good sign that IU is in good shape for him.
I’ll be on the road tonight to catch up with another 2019 target so check back for that over the weekend.

Indiana heads to Michigan for a 12:30 p.m. ET game on CBS. I'll be there covering it for the site.
It was interesting hearing IU head coach Archie Miller's comments about the Duke game heading into the Michigan game during his radio show Thursday night. He was emphatic about players and coaches needing to be "possessed" about improvement in order to build off Wednesday night and not have a letdown in this weekend's Big Ten opener. Miller also dismissed any notion of a moral victory in the 10-point loss to Duke. "There's nothing feel-good about last night," he said.
Among other intriguing comments was Miller saying junior forward Juwan Morgan has been the most steady player for IU so far across practices and games. "Juwan has probably been the most consistent with his numbers in practice and his numbers in games," Miller said. Given Morgan's performances of late and the fact that he's second on the team in scoring (12.1 points per game) and first in rebounding (5.6 rebounds per game), this comes as no surprise. Recall also that Morgan was someone mentioned by Miller as a potential breakout player this season. So far, Morgan has met those expectations quite well.
Wednesday was a good showing for grad forward Collin Hartman, who seems to be progressing well. He had 11 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist in 16 minutes off the bench, a 10-minute bump from the six minutes he played in his regular-season debut against Eastern Michigan on Nov. 24. With Indiana playing two games in three days and Hartman still considered day-to-day despite Wednesday's minutes, it will be interesting to see what approach Miller and the Indiana staff takes with his playing time as Big Ten play begins.

Recruiting Insider:
With this being the first weekend of the offseason for both IU and many high school football programs, there are several recruits making official visits to Bloomington.
Six prospects already committed to IU are visiting, including Reese Taylor, Madison Norris, Aaron Casey, Cam Jones, TJ Ivy and Jaylin Williams. Other than those six, there are several others with mutual interest in IU.
3-star cornerback Brandon Cross is probably the most highly touted of the group not committed to IU. The 5-foot-10 Tennessee commit had reopened his recruiting process earlier in the season, but with the recent drama surrounding the program and Tennessee firing its athletic director, Cross is looking elsewhere. He is ranked as a 5.6 in Rivals Rating and has offers from schools like Mississippi State, Syracuse and Florida Atlantic.
3-star defensive tackle Allen Love out of Birmingham, Alabama, isn’t a new name for the IU recruiting landscape. He will be making his official visit to Bloomington this weekend after making an unofficial visit in September. There’s been a lot of anticipation for the 6-foot-3, 285-pounder’s decision, and he said it’s still down to Ole Miss — where he is committed now — Michigan State and IU. Alabama is also considering offering him. If the Crimson Tide extend an offer to him, expect him to commit there.
Other than those two prospects who aren’t committed to IU, the Hoosiers welcome an undecided 3-star safety Devon Matthews out of Jacksonville,Florida, and 6-foot-1, 240-pound running back Stevie Scott out of Syracuse, New York. Matthews has offers from schools like Mississippi State and Missouri, while Scott is committed to Rutgers but has IU high on his radar.
Several IU coaches have made in-home visits this week, but the most significant visit was Mike Hart and Darren Hiller’s visit to Georgia to see offensive tackle Hamilton Hall. Hall stands at 6-foot-3, 315 pounds and would be a huge addition to the Class of 2018, as IU has just two offensive linemen committed so far. Hall also has offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Florida Atlantic.
Safeties coach Noah Joseph visited 3-star safety Dallas Craddieth as well. Craddieth has taken his official visits to Illinois and Iowa and has a lot of interest in playing in the Big Ten. He will be making his decision in December, he told me.
Joseph also visited with 3-star athlete Davonta Wilson in Miami this week. Wilson is committed to Colorado State and is one of the latest prospects to receive an IU offer, as the Hoosiers extended it to him in mid-October. Wilson has been committed to Colorado State since July, so his interest in IU rings loudly.
