The Good - 1. Anytime you open the Season against a team that has already played a game and had opportunities to make corrections, it's good to get a win. Especially against a conference rival.
2. 330 Yards passing from our new Quarterback with one interception that wasn't his fault. Some questionable passes early. Not sure if it was nerves on his part or receivers running the wrong patterns.

3. Defense looks better. Gave up some yardage in the run game, but Illinois has a good running game. You can win games when your Defense gives up 20 points or less. Didn't see enough to determine whether pass rush has improved.

4. Camper looks like He can play at this level, and that is significant.

The Bad - 1, We can't give up interceptions like the one last night and beat good teams. Great Pass? No a little high and slightly behind the receiver. At this level that is a play that has to be made.

2, Too many Field Goals. Yes the margin of victory was a Field Goal and We have the luxury of having a great Kicker. But Wehave to get away from this Mentality that once We get inside the 30. We can settle for 3. We won't beat good teams kicking field goals.

The Really Ugly - As usual the running game and OL blocking were non-existent. I don't know what to do to to give consequences for non-performance. If I were Bell and Hiller, I would set these guys down and tell them that the first 15 plays of the Idaho game will all be scripted power runs. You have 3 Series or that many plays to show You can run block. If You can't prove it We will make changes and find someone Who can.
